The Story of the Workshop

It all began with a love of folk music and a desire
to recreate ancient instruments. Today, YARuGA
is a workshop where history, archaeology, and traditional
craftsmanship come together to create unique musical instruments.

We began researching ancient musical instruments.
Created our first carnyx.
Created our first bowed instrument — the gudok.
Reconstructed the “Slovisha” gusli based
on archaeological finds.
Began working with museums and historical sources
and created the tagelharpa.
Expanded our instrument range and created
the bass talharpa.
YARuGA has grown into a workshop whose
instruments are played around the world.
